The R was introduced 8 years after the world saw the first Zonda. Compared to the original it’s an insane powerhouse on 4 wheels that shares only 10% of the Zonda F’s components.
The naturally aspirated 6 litre V12 engine produces 740 HP and is connected to an Xtrac 6-speed sequential gearbox, which means it’s a proper race car. It can accelerate to 60 mph in less than 2.7 seconds and can go up to 218 mph, but the most impressive figure is 1.62g. That’s how much lateral force the car can produce in corners.
Unfortunately, it’s not road legal and because it’s so loud, it’s also forbidden on most race tracks. Of course that didn’t stop Horacio from building the most insane version of the Zonda to show the world what the company is capable of.
